Skin Cancer
Monday, December 22nd, 2008Skin cancer is actually the most common of all human cancers in Western countries like the United States. It is not as common here as breast or lung cancer because although we are exposed to the sun, we have plenty of pigmentation in our skin compared to Caucasians to protect us.
This does not however mean we won’t get skin cancer, just that our incidence compared to other cancers is not as high.

There 3 Factor are causing of Skin Cancer :
1) Sunburn and Sunlight – Very simply, sunburn and UV light can damage your skin, and this damage can lead to skin cancer
2) Heredity – If there is a history of skin cancer in your family, you are probably at a higher risk. People with fair skin, with a northern European heritage appear to be most susceptible.
3) Environment – The level of UV light today is higher than it was 50 or 100 years ago. This is due to a reduction of ozone in the earth’s atmosphere (the Ozone Hole). Ozone serves as a filter to screen out and reduce the amount of UV light that we are exposed to.
